Interesting subject
Clear subject matter, not to busy, with other items, in frame
Keeping to thirds in the frame (generally)
Crop to exclude unwanted/un-needed itesm in the frame
Good focal point.
Contrast of colours/shadows
Something to draw the eye into the frame.
